With my interest in Athletic Advising I decided to sit down and chat with Missy Weininger about advising here on campus as well as the potential of doing some athletic advising. Prior to our conversation I was unaware that Missy was at Heidelberg and coached there. She was actually there the same time as my former Athletic Director at Muskingum University Larry Shank. We exchanged some stories about Larry and then discussed the role of advising at TU. She liked the idea of doing special athletic advising however there would have to be some aspects of the current advising tweaked if this were to go into effect. Currently most athletic advising is done through success coaches. Even though success coaches are mostly for academics they still are there main point of contact. For athletic advising to work here at TU we would need athletic advising to pe the point of contact and go from there then.
