Benchmarked other institutions within in the GLIAC Walsh, Grand Valley ST, Hillsdale, Ohio Dominican, Ashland, Findlay, and Lake Erie. I researched their websites to search to see 1) If they offered athletic services. 2) What intramural sports are offered? 3) Are there any club sports offered?

Grand Valley athletics is truly incredible they were one of the only schools that showed they have a form of athletic advising. They have athletic advising they have a “Special Associate to the Athletic Director/ Director, Laker Academic Success Center, they additionally have an assistant director. Grand Valley also has a director of athletic and rec facilities that schedules all events, and leagues as well as maintains the facilities. I think that TU could greatly benefit from having those three positions on campus. Many students don’t know when the Heminger center is actually open because it used by so many sports and by many outside organizations. For example they have basketball tournaments and track meets, it would be nice for a calendar on the TU website that showed what was going on in the Heminger it could also show the dates and times of practices and intramurals, as well as just open drop in time. Athletic Advising is what we are trying to bring here at TU

Grand Valley St has 13 Men’s Club Sports including Lacrosse Ice Hockey, Cricket, and Water Polo. They then have 11 Women Club Sports, and 13 coed sports that include Bas Angling, Golf, Ski and snowboard.
