The Strategic Plan

President Schumacher sent out the strategic plan for staff to read. I read through it and looked at the outcomes and how they affected athletics. From there crafting solutions on the strategic plan.

  • Track Student Athlete Retention

  • Understand why Athletes came To TU

  • Program

  • Distance from Home

  • Playing Time

  • Academic Importance

  • Continue Transfer Release meetings, to understand why athletes are wanting to leave.

Develop a method to better serve the student-athletes on campus

1. Increase number of individuals on campus dedicated to student-athlete services and retention 2. Identify why student-athletes are choosing Tiffin University

3. Identify why student-athletes are staying at Tiffin as student-athletes

4. Develop initiatives to ensure that student-athletes are able to become involved in campus activities if no longer playing collegiate athletics

5. Develop an advising structure that mirrors the student athletic representative format in the Financial Aid Office to allow student-athletes to have an advising specialist

6. Conduct student/athletic/academic exit surveys to identify retention factors

3. Develop new extracurricular opportunities for students that support enrollment growth

Establish initiatives to generate revenue from Athletic Department

1. Establish Athletic Department revenue marketing committee and identify committee me

2. Evaluate and identify new revenue streams and current revenue-producing programs
